NINA FARANA

Fine-Art Collage and Limited-Edition Prints

About the Art

Nina Farana's collages bear the artist's distinctive stamp. Precise, detailed and rich, these works of art preserve the single plane of paper, while creating visual depth and layers of meaning. Hard edges and soft curves merge seamlessly. Colors dazzle like sunlight through stained glass. Shapes play off one another like patterns in a kaleidoscope.

In Nina Farana's art, the soulful and sensual meet in an intricate lacework of emotion, intellect and spirit.

We offer both originals and limited-edition prints

How the Prints Are Made

The original art is first scanned as a high-resolution digital image, then reproduced on a fine-art printer employing the giclée process.

Deriving its name from the French word gicler (pronounced zhee-clay and meaning "to spray out" or "to squirt"), the process provides unmatched control of color and saturation, while maintaining detail, texture and nuance. The giclée printer squirts some 4 million microscopic droplets of ink per second and, and with a resolution of up to 1,440 dots per inch, has proved ideal for limited-edition prints.

Our prints are created on archival photo-surface paper with archival pigment inks. Because this combination of the best materials results in an image with a lightfastness rating of 200 years, prints purchased today can be enjoyed by many generations.
